The scope of this document is to specify the minimum technical requirements for the design, manufacture, testing and supply of Flare Systems for the ………….

It shall be the responsibility of the VENDOR to check that all aspects of the design, fabrication and testing are in conformity with the specified documents for all items included in the supply.

• This specification complements the important parameters, safety features, codes and standards and basic requirements to be considered while specifying and selecting the flare systems for the execution of Engineering, Procurement and Construction contract for the compressor stations.
• This specification describes the minimum technical requirements for the design, manufacture, testing, inspection and supply of the flares system for the project.
• The flares system shall be designed and manufactured in conformity with the specifications and the documents listed under clause 4 of this specification and in the applicable material requisition, and specifically.
• All exceptions to this specification and other applicable specifications and data sheets requirements must be brought to the attention of CONTRACTOR in writing and shall require prior approval before any action is taken by the VENDOR.
• This specification represents the minimum requirements. The VENDOR shall be deemed to be an expert of flares and shall be solely responsible for all aspects of the design, materials, fabrication, installation and performance.
• The design life for the flare system shall be 30 years.
• A high reliability system is required. The flare furnished as standardized or proprietary equipment shall follow the intent of the specification and shall be in accordance with established industry practice. The flare system offered by VENDOR shall be of safe, reliable and proven design that has demonstrated trouble-free operation for at least a period of 2 years.  VENDOR shall provide list and performance history of similar supplies in his offer.
• It is incumbent on the VENDOR to comply with all legislation applicable to the project.
• In no case this specification shall be used to supersede, delete and/or lower applicable code requirements, laws and/or local regulations.
