Production Lead – Noble Metals
As the Production Lead within Noble Metals, you will provide day to day technical leadership to a team of multi-skilled operators to ensure business objectives and operational needs are met through the timely and efficient allocation of resources and effective work prioritisation.
This role is responsible for ensuring safety performance and quality standards are met and adhered to, the safety of the team, and to drive a proactive EHS culture focused on zero harm.

Your responsibilities:
Driving a positive Health & Safety culture focussed on zero harm and encouraging and supporting ideas to improve EHS performance
Ensuring all safe systems of work are understood and complied with by the team, including adherence to Life Saving Policies, Management of Change, issuing permits and the control of contractors
Participating in risk assessment processes, supporting PHA, HAZID, HAZOP and LOPA studies and identifying control improvements or new controls for risk reduction
Planning, directing and monitoring all production activities including daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly schedules, procedures, maintenance and downtime within assigned area(s) to maximise the use of business resources and meet established overall production KPIs, including safety, people, quality, delivery and cost measures; building KPI sand leading reviews
Reporting, interpreting and analysing data to provides insights on quantitative and qualitative developments, recognizing negative trends and identifying marginal results quickly to support improvement before issues are felt within operations; uses the data to support ideas, with estimates of possible benefits
Developing, implementing, optimising and/or continuously improving work processes, techniques and systems with relevant area, to deliver OEE targets, linking to the 7 wastes and leading investigations to improve and deliver better results, taking ownership of relevant improvements
Requirements for the role:
Demonstrable experience successfully leading a medium to large team
Extensive knowledge and understanding of engineering/operator skills
Experience of LEAN manufacturing methodology, including problem solving tools such as root cause analysis
Experience of undertaking Health & Safety Risk Assessment, chemical awareness, COSHH, Hazardous Signage, Chemical Reaction Hazards and Environmental Awareness
Understanding of the requirements of quality standards e.g. ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO15001
Experience of working with performance metrics to drive continuous improvement
