A number expressed in the form a+bi is called as complex number. Here, a and b are real parts and i is an imaginary part. Like integers, we can perform all arithmetic operations in complex numbers also. The complex number formula below gives you the formula for multiplication, division and all other formulas related to square root.
Complex Number Formula:
Multiplication = (a+bi) × (a+bi)
Division = (a+bi) / (a+bi)
Square root:
r = sqrt(a² + b²)
y = sqrt((r-a) / 2)
x = b / 2y
r1 = x + yi
r2 = -x – yi
r = sqrt(a² + b²)
y = sqrt((r-a) / 2)
x = b / 2y
r1 = x + yi
r2 = -x – yi
