Designation of feather key, type A, width b=12mm, height=8mm, length l=56mm: feather key A12*8*56 DIN 6885.
Material: Part 1 for h25mm and Part 2 for all sizes E295, Part 1 for h25mm E335.
- If feather keys of type A and B are to be supplied with holes for extraction screws (S), this must be specified, at the time of ordering. In this case, the designation is: feather key AS12*8*56cm DIN 6885.
For feather keys (high design) in accordance with DIN 6885 Part 1/Part 21), the following values apply.

- For part 2 (type A, C and E only), the dimensions t1, t2 and d2 in the part enclosed by broad lines apply; all other dimensions such as feather keys are in accordance with Part 1.
- t2in the case of independence is intended for exceptional cases in which they feather key is reworked (adapted).
- d2 is the smallest diameter (inside dimension) of parts which can be slid concentrically over the feather key.
- The values stated within () are the smallest lengths according to Part 2 where these do not coincide with Part 1.
- Only up to 250 for feather keys in accordance with Part 2.
