13 Spare Parts and Special Tools
13.1 Special Spare Parts tools
Special Spare Parts tools – The Supplier shall provide itemised quotations for the following categories of spare parts:
- Pre-commissioning, Commissioning and Start up spare parts: VENDOR shall submit the list of such spares to be supplied and the same shall be supplied by them as part of the base scope of supply. Insurance spare parts: VENDOR shall submit SPIR Form with their proposal for these spares for review by COMPANY/CONTRACTOR. Insurance spare parts are not included in the base scope of supply.
- Initial spares for first year operation: VENDOR shall submit an item wise list of recommended spares for the first years operation. Initial spare parts are not included in the base scope of supply. COMPANY/CONTRACTOR shall review and order these initial spares via the CONTRACTOR; However these spares shall be delivered to site in time for plant commissioning.
- 2 years normal operation spare parts (after first year operation): VENDOR shall submit in SPIR forms the list of spares for 2 years normal operation for review and order placement by COMPANY. The 2 year spare parts are excluded from the base scope of supply. VENDOR shall provide the consolidated list of recommended 2 year spare parts with his proposal.
- The Supplier shall recommend any additional capital (insurance) spares which, if not purchased with the main equipment, could result in significant downtime.
Spare part kits shall be detailed to identify each individual item.
Spare parts shall be preserved from environmental corrosion, and preservation methods shall be suitable for long term storage (in a marine atmosphere).
Detailed documentation for spare parts (sectional drawings with parts list) shall be submitted with the spare parts list.
13.2 Special Tools
The VENDOR shall include for any special tools required for installation, field testing, operation or maintenance of the equipment.
